One of our distinguished guest speakers at the webinar is Dr. Liam Clohessy, Programme Lead BA (Hons) Physical Education at Portobello Institute. Liam holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching specializing in PE, a PhD in the area of Leadership in Physical Education, and brings extensive experience as the former Chairperson of the Irish Primary PE Association (IPPEA) and PE Advisor for the Department of Education Professional Development Service for Teachers Health and Well-being team (PDST). He will share valuable insights on the different pathways available for studying Physical Education at Portobello Institute.
In addition, we are thrilled to have Shane Walsh, a BA (Hons) Physical Education student and Galway Football Star, as one of our guest speakers. Shane will talk about his experience of the course at Portobello Institute and how he manages to juggle being a student while playing GAA at the highest level. His insights and personal journey will provide valuable inspiration to aspiring PE students.
